How we work
Translator Scandinavia’s organisation is based on project management and a large proportion of revision work taking place in house, while the majority of translation projects are outsourced. This allows us to be flexible when choosing the best translator for various texts. It also means that we are able to cover a diverse range of subject areas and adapt to the time frames of our customers. Through in-house revision, we ensure consistency and uniformity of style and terminology.
Customer focus is one of our mottos, meaning that we always try to identify the best possible way to adapt our work methods and services to the customer’s wishes and expectations. But it also means that as a customer, you have an important role to play by contributing background material and expertise. In short, we believe that close cooperation between us is important if we are to achieve the best possible results.
EN 15038
Translator Scandinavia works to the European standard for translation services, EN-15038. This method means that our customers can feel secure when ordering work from us because we follow the quality criteria set by the industry.
- Project management: A project manager is responsible for the project from start to finish.
- Translation: A translator who is a native speaker of the target language and who specialises in the field in question translates the material.
- Revision: Another translator with the relevant expertise revises the translation, checking that it meets the requirements of the customer brief.
- Final approval: The project manager checks the translation one last time prior to delivery, giving it final approval.
